Rockin’ Jās Hostel – Puerto Viejo šØš·
Video Review
The infamous Rockin’ J’s Hostel in Puerto Viejo is like no other place you’ll stay. It’s a huge completex covered in mosaics and artwork, and offers all kinds of different options for sleeping. Tents, shared dorms, private rooms, hammocks. I really liked it as a funky fun place, and went with a 4-bed dorm room that had air conditioning too. The first two nights, I had the room to myself. Good wifi, but not in the room itself.
It is farther out of town than most places, about 1km out the main road from the town. I rented a bike one day, as restaurants and groceries are all in town too. There’s not really enough bathrooms for the size of the place either. They were consistently busy, but to the place’s credit, cleaning staff were always working o keeping the place up.
$14/night
